Hello everyone! As part of the activities we are preparing with the conference “Decolonizing Global Studies: Charting Trends, Mapping Trajectories,” we are also having a Special Session and Conversation with Academic Publishers and Academic Journal Editors this September 10, 2020, 1:00-4:30 PM. We asked our panelists to share something about the respective publishing house/press they are part and academic journals they are editing; share insights and tips for those who wish to publish their papers. Maybe we can also ask them about their experience and adjustment during this context of the global pandemic. Exciting discussions ahead, right?
Those who will be notified with the Zoom credentials for the conference will also receive the Zoom credentials for this special session.

The Decolonial Studies Research Network (DSRN) intends to link scholars, researchers, practitioners, teachers, and students interested in decolonial studies. The DSRN was formed through the initiative of the members of the Decolonial Studies Program of the University of the Philippines Center for Integrative and Development Studies and with close collaboration with the Philippine International Studies Organization (PHISO).
DSRN focuses on encouraging conversations about the forces of modernity and coloniality that continue to impact institutions in the Global South in ways that could hinder them from achieving their liberating potential. However, DSRN does not intend to limit itself to area studies and seeks to involve comparative cross-disciplinary analyses in various Global South regions, including critical engagements with Global North institutions. The network is open to scholars, students, and practitioners in any field of knowledge.

Hi can I let my class CL 202 Literary Theory and Criticsim attend the keynote speakers’s lectures? If ok – what link can I email to them tomorrow? Sorry, I know it’s terribly late registration. Thanks

Dear DSRN Committee,
Thank you very much for your kind information for tomorrow’s prgram on Session with Academic Publishers and Journals. However, I have a Question here regarding the TIME (100-400 PM), Is it a Manila/Philippines TIME? or What? Just to make sure since there would be a different Zone with Jakarta/Indonesia anyway. Thank you for your kind attention and information
Best Regards, Bekti Lantong
